Right to Privacy

 We respect your right to privacy and WebKart.Net will not collect or publish any personal information about you through this website without your clear permission. The highest standards of security and confidentiality are applied and are strictly adhered to in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Acts, 1988 – 2003, in relation to any personal information which you volunteer to WebKart.Net.

Collection and use of personal information

WebKart.Net does not collect personal data about you apart from information which you volunteer and supply to us to enable us to complete your order and requests and to enable us to enhance the range and quality of service we offer to you and our customers. Examples of such information include, email, phone number, address, payment or credit card details, information supplied by you in using our online feedback or complaint form, Any information which you supply in this way is used only for the purposes for which supplied and is not supplied to third parties except to our internet service provider, with responsibility for data storage and those responsible for payment processing – credit card payments for example and web development services, all of whom are bound by confidentiality provisions.

You should note that technical details, which we cannot associate with any identifiable individual, do not constitute "personal data" for the purposes of the Data Protection Acts, 1988 – 2003.

Purpose of Collection

The purpose of collecting information, such as, your name, email address, physical address, payment details and account activity is simply to enable us to provide a high standard and appropriate service to our clients and customers  and to associate it with your account and to help us continue to improve our service and to protect our services.

Here are some examples of information we collect and analyse in order to enable us to deliver a satisfactory response to the demands and expectations of our clients:

1          Login details, pass-words, computer information, such as, your phone details, browser type, IP address,  operating system, payment details and purchase history, your profile and perhaps a photo, patterns of search on our website, e.g. products you searched for and viewed, date and time and duration of visits.

2          We may also use cookies and advise you of such. You are also given the option to accept or reject use of cookies. Continuing on site, having been advised, will be understood as accepting use of cookies.  Should you reject and you are perfectly free to do so, your access to a range of our services will, of necessity, be limited.

3          We use software such as Google Analytics to measure our page response times, duration of visits, page –interaction, search activity, scrolling, clicks and error detection.  

4          Technical information may also be collected to assist in fraud prevention and performance issues.

5          WebKart.Net wish to emphasise these features enable us to monitor website activity and enable us ensure we are sensitive to customer needs and requirements and to improve our services to all our viewers.

WebKart.Net applies the eight data protection principles (set out in the Irish Data Protection Commissioner’s, “Guidelines for contents and use of Privacy Statements for Websites”) to the manner in which it processes data throughout our operations. The principles offer a clear and unambiguous focus of the importance of affording personal information and data relating to clients and customers with the sensitivity, confidentiality and respect it deserves.

It is critically important that the information referred to above is obtained in a fair way, including;

explanation of  the purpose for which it is processed; the identity of third parties to whom the data may be disclosed; the existence of a right of access to what personal information is stored and a right of access and a right of rectification. To satisfy that criteria, we clearly state the purpose for which the data is necessary and the use made of it; namely helping to process orders, e.g. credit card payments securely and facilitating customer activity on the site so that we may best address their interests and serve their needs. 

We may share information with other reliable and trusted third parties who provide necessary IT, customer support and finance processing services to help us protect, develop and improve our services.  They can only access your information, at our request and with our permission so as to perform tasks on our behalf, in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with WebKart.Net Privacy Policy.

Legal Requirements: We reserved the right and obligation to share your information, where we deem it reasonably necessary to the lawful legal authorities, when requested or required to do so under the law; to protect any person from serious injury; to prevent fraud or abuse of WebKart.Net or its users and to protect WebKart.Net property rights.

We make every effort to abide by the Government’s Data Protection Legislation and Guidelines and we ensure that our clients and customers are aware of what information is required in order that we might efficiently and effectively service their requirements when they access and request our services. 

Support and Security

Information is securely stored on our Services for as long as is necessary to support and assist in delivery of your requirements. Should you wish to terminate our services we will delete your account and associated information. The latter process involving deletion of your information from our servers and back-up may result in some delay but will be attended to as expeditiously as possible. We may retain this information if needed to resolve dispute or to comply with legal processes.

To provide you with the most efficient and cost effective services and to maintain the highest standard of support and care for our customers and clients we may store, process and transmit information in the United States and Canada –  for example, our top class and secure Hosting Services. Your local devices may also be used to store information to access our services.

Our Security Team are tasked with ensuring that our system is secure. This is important for both WebKart.Net and you, our clients and customers.  It is also important that they continually check for vulnerabilities and maintain the highest standards of operational and administrative efficiency to keep your information secure. We are using the highest security encryption available where our server is allocated in US/Canada and abide by the Guidelines set out in EU – US Privacy Shield Agreement.
